Job summary

ShopRite of Norwich in Norwich, CT is seeking a Front-End Associate to deliver a great customer experience with accurate, friendly and efficient service at the front end of our store. You will collect carts, assist customers with groceries, and maintain store appearance.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and work in a fast-paced environment while following safety and attendance policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a shift and lift up to 25 lbs regularly, and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Friendly, helpful interaction with customers and willingness to work with others.
• Adherence to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Collect empty shopping carts from assigned areas and return them to their proper place.
• Assist customers with groceries as required.
• Dress and groom according to Company policy including uniform and name badge.
• Perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards and safety guidelines.
• Promote current charitable promotions to Customers.
