Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to various retail tasks in our store, including customer service and service desk interactions.

As a Courtesy Team Member, you will help with carts, cleaning, basic store operations, and collaboration with departments to ensure a positive shopping experience.

This role emphasizes fast-paced environment, reliability, and a willingness to learn, with opportunities for growth through Meijer's development programs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail or customer service is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at checkout and service desk.
• Help with cart retrieval from outside to inside the store and maintain parking areas.
• Support cleaning of store areas including restrooms.
• Assist with partial restocking, perishable and salvage handling as needed.
• Coordinate with departments (Health & Beauty, Hardware, Fashion, Pets, etc.).
• May perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
