Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to support a variety of retail tasks and customer service responsibilities at our Griffith, Indiana location. You will engage with customers, assist with store operations, and learn across departments to provide above-and-beyond service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside to inside.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment when needed.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Collaborate with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• This profile may include other duties as assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
