Job summary

Veho in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager, Carrier Strategy & Performance to architect and audit our external transportation ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Director of Transportation, you will transition our logistics function from a reactive service to a proactive, performance‑driven powerhouse.

Your mission is twofold: strategic sourcing of the best partners in the industry and relentless management of vendor and carrier accountability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in logistics, with emphasis on carrier procurement, vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Proven track record of developing scorecards and managing underperforming partners through formal reviews.
• Experience designing multi-complex transportation strategies that integrate providers and service levels to optimize a national footprint.
• Expertise in sourcing, vetting, and high-stakes rate negotiations across diverse logistics vendors.
• Deep understanding of DOT regulations, safety ratings, and insurance requirements (Cargo, GL, Auto) for carriers and brokers.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets/Excel for network-level data analysis, vendor spend and service trends.
• Experience leading and developing a team focused on network health.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Onboarding: source, vet, and onboard a diverse portfolio of carriers, brokers, and logistics vendors.
• Execute Multi‑Complex Transportation Strategies: design and manage routing and capacity plans across provider types.
• Drive Vendor & Carrier Accountability: build and implement a robust performance management framework with KPIs including OTP.
• Lead Strategic Business Reviews: facilitate Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with key vendors and carriers.
• Network Optimization: identify at-risk segments and perform root-cause analysis to implement timely resolutions.
• Manage Compliance & Risk: oversee vetting processes (NDAs, RFIs, DOT safety scores) to meet safety, security, and insurance requirements.
• Cost & Contract Management: build a vendor database to support competitive bidding and ensure capacity options to lower costs while preserving reliability.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: partner with Ground Ops, Finance, and Expansion teams to align vendor capabilities with customer needs.
