Job summary

Crowley in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a carrier relations-focused logistics coordinator to source carriers, build long-term partnerships, and drive efficient, on-time shipments. You will negotiate rates, monitor carrier performance, ensure operational execution, and communicate expectations during carrier reviews.

The role requires 1–3 years in truck transportation or related fields and a high school diploma; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, transportation or related field preferred.
• 1 - 3 years of truck transportation, truck brokerage, supply chain management, import/export transportation, customer service, negotiations or related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Find carriers; develop and maintain strong relationships with them.
• Fulfill shipments with the lowest cost and best service carriers.
• Rate negotiation with carriers.
• Ensure operational execution.
• Communicate performance expectations to carriers for each shipment.
• Participate in carrier business reviews as needed.
• Review carrier service performance and identify service improvements.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor, and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
