Backhaul Direct is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative (Logistics Sales) in Indianapolis, IN. The role offers a $45,000 base salary with uncapped commission and realistic first-year earnings of $70,000+. You will negotiate freight rates, build carrier relationships, and source capacity in a fast-paced logistics environment to maximize profitability.

No logistics experience? Our training program and mentorship will teach you the fundamentals of freight brokerage while you gain hands-on

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Sales, customer service, or competitive experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners.
• Make outbound calls to source equipment and secure capacity.
• Manage carrier activity within our transportation management system (TMS).
• Resolve transportation issues to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Work closely with teammates to deliver exceptional customer service.
