Job summary

Circle Logistics is a 3PL firm focused on No Fail Service, Personalized Communication, and Innovative Solutions. This role focuses on building and expanding the carrier network, negotiating freight rates, and owning daily shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.

You will work with Circle teammates to drive pricing strategies, qualify carriers, and maintain strong relationships while delivering industry-leading transportation solutions that keep America moving.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in Google Drive and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, reports).

Responsibilities

  • Build an exciting business strategy and grow your book of business with carriers you'll develop strong relationships with.
  • Expand your carrier network while keeping those relationships rock-solid and mutually beneficial.
  • Negotiate freight rates that work for everyone and keep the deals flowing.
  • Own your daily shipments—make sure pickups and deliveries happen like clockwork.
  • Team up with your crew on pricing strategy and account implementation plans to crush it together.
  • Communicate like a pro—both internally and externally—keeping everyone in the loop.
  • Jump on transportation problems with urgency and professionalism; you're the problem-solver.
  • Hunt for new carriers strategically based on volume and lane density to keep your network fresh.
  • Stay sharp on shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality—be the market knowledge expert.
  • Smash those KPIs and goals set by department leadership; we're all about winning.
  • Deliver no-fail service on every single load—that's your reputation on the line.
  • Handle and communicate all issues promptly and professionally to the right people.
  • Qualify carriers like a pro before booking to prevent any service hiccups.
  • Keep the communication flowing with carriers, customers, and Circle teammates.
  • Share load details with drivers at booking and keep them updated on any changes—no surprises.
  • Escalate issues the right way, following Circle Logistics Escalation Policy.
  • Keep your team in the loop with load updates to Operations Representatives, Account Managers, and Client Strategy Managers as needed.
  • Build and maintain a solid spreadsheet of current and past carriers—your go-to resource.
  • Get competitive same-day freight options to your customer's team and make it happen.
  • Step up for critical loads and critical customers—be the hero when it counts.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as they come your way.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location)

Generally in an indoor office setting; may include occasional participation in outdoor company events.

Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.

Proficient in Google Drive and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, reports).

Physical Requirements

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

Significant walking or other means of mobility.

Ability to work in a seated position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
