The Carrier Relations Leader develops and maintains relationships with large, medium, and small-sized carriers' accounts. The Carrier Relations Leader requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.

Carrier Relations Leader

The Carrier Relations Leader reports to the Head of Sales and is responsible for the overall health, leadership, and management of our Carrier relationships. This position is responsible to develop programs that are aligned with the organizations mission, vision and values that drive opportunities to create and access new revenue opportunities through IFG’s carrier portfolio. The Carrier Relations Leader will work cross functionally internally and externally to accomplish IFG’s corporate goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IFG portfolio of carriers across all product lines (Medicare, Life, ACA, Ancillary, etc).
  • Develop a robust portfolio strategy that optimizes revenue diversification and improves IFG’s overall cash flow
  • Lead a team of Carrier Account Managers to ensure operational efficiency between IFG and carrier partners
  • Meet and/or exceed specific revenue goals tied to strategic carrier programs
  • Negotiate market competitive contracts to improve IFG’s value prop and further differentiate IFG’s position in the marketplace.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends to ensure IFG is adequately positioned to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
  • Lead annual, quarterly and monthly business review meetings with carrier partners
  • Develop sales strategy with carriers and work cross-functionally with sales to effectuate in support of the broader business
  • Manage carrier performance full-funnel and work with leaders to address key learnings to better support and improve the business
  • Develop and maintain processes cross-functionally to better support the IFG business and its carrier partners
  • May participate in special projects/programs as assigned, such as training or communication sessions within or outside of the company.
  • Supports partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training to achieve revenue targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ Years of experience working with Medicare Plans
  • 5+ Years of experience in Business Development
  • Strong industry relationships particularly with carriers given IFG’s agnostic carrier position
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Self-Sufficient and capable of developing financial models
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous and successful leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience working with or for large distribution organizations focus on the life and health space.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$124,100 - $169,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
