Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Cut Table Operator in Chatsworth, GA. You will operate equipment to cut, measure and wrap rolls of broadloom carpet or vinyl, load cores, and process rolls in the AS400/Alcon system using a handheld scan gun.

Responsibilities include inspecting product, replacing blades, loading wraps, printing tickets, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Familiarity with AS400 and forklift operation is helpful; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lift Truck Certification preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• May be required to use department specific database systems such as: AS400.
• No prior experience required.
• Experience as a cut table operator preferred.
• Must pass a color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rolls for processing (cut tape, load core, pull ticket).
• Process roll into AS400/Alcon system by using hand-held scan gun.
• Operate cut table controls to start roll up process.
• Inspect product for defects, damage, correct width, and color/style.
• Utilize wrap station equipment to ensure protection of the product.
• Print ticket and label role for identification purposes.
• Observe operation of the equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Replace worn blades and tape rolls as well as restock cores.
• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as lift trucks.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
