Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Carpet Layer to install and repair carpet across the property. You will work with power tools, perform seaming, stretching, and pattern matching to maintain high standards.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, a HS diploma or GED, strong customer service, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. This on-site position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in a similar environment.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on flooring systems throughout the property.
Complete jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks.
Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner.
Perform carpet installations and repairs to include: seaming, power stretching, kick stretching, wall trimming, pattern-carpet matching, carpet backings, direct-glue installation.
Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.
