Cleaning Technician Job Summary

Independently perform residential and commercial carpet cleaning, tile & grout cleaning, upholstery cleaning, strip & wax, and occasionally assist with water extraction and restoration services.

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services offered by the company, with opportunities to earn Mold Mitigation, Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications. Compensation levels increase with experience and certifications such as water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications; commissions may also be earned above the hourly rate.
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Maintain appearance and stock of tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with new equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.

Compensation

• Hourly pay with attractive bonus and commission incentives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills and ability to determine appropriate equipment type and quantity.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computers, email, and portable devices for reporting and recording daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience required, and/or specialty cleaning experience preferred (e.g., Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning).
• Highly Desired Certificates: Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC); Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) preferred.
