Job summary

Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC seeks a temporary Carpenter to assist journey level workers in carpentry duties within the House Office Buildings.

This assignment supports the Carpentry Branch during the upcoming moves for the 120th Congress, with overtime possible as moves occur six days a week.

Ideal candidates have hands-on carpentry experience, can work with limited supervision, and are committed to safe, quality workmanship in a government facility.

Qualifications

  • Requires ability to perform carpentry tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience performing carpentry work is required for screening.
  • Eligible candidates must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.

Carpentry Work

Workers for the upcoming 120th Congressional Moves. Workers will terminate at the conclusion of the project. Since office moves are scheduled 6 days a week, overtime may be required and will be mandatory.

Qualifications

You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position. Ability to perform carpentry work without more than normal supervision.
