Archadeck of Central Virginia and The Valley is seeking skilled carpenters for long-term collaboration on high-end outdoor living projects, including decks, pergolas, screened porches, and sunrooms. We provide steady, year-round work and premium material opportunities on each project.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of carpentry experience, own reliable tools and a vehicle, and carry active General Liability and Workers’ Compensation insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, with decks, pergolas, and roof framing.
• Professionalism: Craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and professional appearance.
• Equipment: Reliable vehicle capable of hauling materials and a complete set of professional-grade tools.
• Compliance: Must carry active General Liability and Workers’ Compensation insurance.
• Physical capability: Comfortable with ladder work, heavy lifting, and outdoor conditions.
• Reliability: Proven punctuality and ability to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• High-End Construction: Build custom decks, pergolas, 3-season rooms, and porches to exact specs.
• Structural Expertise: Execute complex framing, roof structures, stairs, and window/door installs.
• Material Handling: Work with pressure-treated lumber and premium composites.
• Blueprint Literacy: Read and interpret detailed architectural drawings accurately.
• Project Oversight: Manage material take-offs, maintain site cleanliness, ensure OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• High‑End Construction: Build custom decks, pergolas, 3‑season rooms, and screened porches to exact specifications.
• Structural Expertise: Execute complex framing, roof structures, wood stairways, and window/door installations.
• Material Handling: Expertly work with pressure‑treated lumber and premium composite materials.
• Blueprint Literacy: Read and interpret detailed architectural drawings and building plans accurately.
• Project Oversight: Manage material take‑offs, maintain a clean job site, and ensure all work meets OSHA safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, with a specific focus on decks, pergolas, and roof framing.
