Job summary

Granite School District in Utah seeks a Carpentry Assistant Foreman to support timely, quality work in the Maintenance Department. You will assist Foreman, Leads, and Apprentices with framing, cabinet work, and repairs while ensuring safety and proper use of materials.

You will plan work, coordinate with apprentices, and keep paperwork updated, including orders and invoices. Strong blueprint reading and safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two full years of formal education as prescribed by Granite School District apprenticeship.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work on Capital Outlay and Maintenance projects as assigned.
• Rough and finish carpentry including cabinet work.
• Install and repair doors and hang marker boards, corkboards, plaques, etc.
• Fabricate metal ramp for relocatable classrooms.
• Install and repair industrial hardware and related fixtures.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment and proper tool use.
