Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist to gain hands-on experience in rigging devices, building layout, framing, and fabrication, while supporting combat engineer missions. Training includes basic carpentry and masonry skill development with civilian career pathways in construction.

Earn while you learn through paid training and drilled weekend compensation, with opportunities for advancement as you gain experience and complete Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a diploma/GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the performance of combat engineer missions.
• Perform general heavy carpentry, structural steel, and masonry duties, including fabrication, erection, maintenance, and repair of rigging devices, trusses, and other structural assemblies.
