Job summary

Greenier Builders, Inc. in York, Maine is seeking a Carpenter's Helper to join our team. This full-time, year-round role offers competitive pay based on experience and an opportunity to grow with an established custom home builder.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of residential construction or carpentry experience and is eager to develop skills with lead and project carpenters on high-quality custom homes. Work is on-site in Southern Maine.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential construction or carpentry experience.
• Experience with residential construction methods is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction plans.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Carpenters with all phases of custom home construction.
• Assist with framing, siding, windows, doors, trim, and finish carpentry.
• Measure, cut, and install building materials accurately.
• Safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Assist with layout and interpretation of construction plans.
• Help with material handling, deliveries, and jobsite organization.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite.
• Work efficiently and follow direction from Lead Carpenters and Project Managers.
• Identify and communicate potential problems or issues.
• Take pride in workmanship and attention to detail.
• Work as part of a professional team to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
