Job summary

Archadeck Outdoor Living is seeking skilled carpentry professionals for residential building and remodeling projects. You will deliver finished work according to contract specifications, with emphasis on craftsmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. Strong interpersonal communication and a reliable work ethic are essential.

Requirements include CT contractor license (HIC) and the ability to read plans, follow documented processes, and coordinate crews effectively on site.

Qualifications

• Thorough background in carpentry techniques (framing and trim, exterior and interior).

• Valid CT contractor license (HIC) and workers' compensation insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employees to follow construction drawings.
• Check drawings against sales design drawings for adequacy and accuracy.
• Check materials against take-offs and inform franchisee of shortages.
• Establish and follow a schedule with the franchisee.
• Maintain an orderly job site and safety practices.
• Maintain positive relations with customers.
• Refer all problems to the franchisee for resolution.
• Contact franchisee if necessary to resolve immediately.
• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed.

We are Archadeck Outdoor Living, North America’s leading designer and builder of outdoor living spaces such as decks, porches, sunrooms, hardscape patios, and shade structures.

We seek construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to work on our residential building & remodeling projects and capability to carry forward our design and build excellence and brand reputation. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck business team. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills with our team and clients and a strong work ethic with the ability to follow our documented processes and build specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate your employees to ensure they understand and work to construction drawings in compliance with the specified details
• Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information
• Check materials delivered against take-off and inform franchisee of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow
• Establish and follow a schedule with the franchisee
• Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized
• Maintain positive relations with customers
• Refer all problems to the franchisee for resolution
• Contact franchisee if necessary to resolve immediately
• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed

• Valid CT contractors License (HIC) and workers compensation insurance for you and your carpentry assistant

Compensation: $80.00 per hour
