Job summary

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Carpenter’s Assistant to support the Lead Carpenter in building and repairing tribal facilities in Winnebago, Nebraska. This role will follow blueprints, assist with framing, cabinets, doors, and trim, and handle routine carpentry tasks with occasional heavy lifting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least three years of carpentry experience. Tools you own and blueprint-reading ability are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required; meet insurance eligibility.
• Three years of carpentry experience across construction stages.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Carpenter in construction and remodeling across tribal facilities.
• Follow blueprints and instructions for structures, counters, doors, and trim.
• Help install glass, cabinets, and interior finishes.
• Support in projects with lifting and heavy-duty tasks as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality per standards and instructions.
