Job summary

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors, LLC is seeking Carpenter Apprentices for its Sterling, Virginia region. You will learn to lay out projects, estimate dimensions, select materials, and work from blueprints under supervision.

You’ll handle a range of carpentry tasks, including stairs, handrails, and basic concrete work, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Hours are full-time with potential nights/weekends; travel up to 60 miles daily based on project location.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• Experience in construction is preferred (5 years).
• Must have own hand tools and be proficient in operating a variety of tools.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Learn layout of the project and prepare it.
• Estimate height, width, length and other proportions.
• Select appropriate work materials.
• Work from blueprints, drawings or supervisors' instructions.
• Maintain safety and quality controls on site.
• Build stairs, handrails, and other carpentry structures as directed.
