Responsibilities
  • Lead the carpenters and schedule their day-to-day tasks. Provide guidance to carpenters on proper technique and standards of work.
  • Ensure tasks and calls are completed to a high standard.
  • Plan and estimate materials lists for projects and shop stock.
  • Maintain all public areas and guestrooms on an ongoing basis (corner guards, locks, windows, doors, furniture).
  • Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
  • Clean all work areas after completing jobs.
  • Complete work requests in Synergy daily.
  • Have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels’ rules and regulations.
  • Answer all guest and associate related Synergy requests.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects.
  • Property improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Monday – Friday 1st shift schedule with rotating weekends.
  • Extensive building/carpentry background from frame to finish.
  • Basic computer knowledge to include office products.
  • Experience leading a 3-5 person team.
