Aquidneck Business Connections is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform demolition, rough and finish carpentry on commercial and residential projects in Kentucky. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and adherence to building codes, with duties from framing to trim installation.
The ideal candidate holds an OSHA-10 (or willing to obtain within 90 days), can read blueprints, and operate hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
The Carpenter performs demolition, rough carpentry, and detailed finish work to ensure structures are weathertight and completed to high-quality standards and comply with building codes. Work is performed under the supervision of the Project Manager and includes both interior and exterior construction tasks.
Demolition & Protection: Move furniture, protect surfaces, and demolish structures as directed.
Rough Carpentry: Frame floors, walls, decks, and roofs; install windows, doors, siding, roofing, and decking with proper weather protection. Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors. Use various hand and power tools.
Finish Carpentry: Install interior/exterior trim, stairs, cabinetry, built-ins, and hardware with precision.
General Duties: Generate daily material lists, maintain trailer organization, ensure building code compliance, and follow safety procedures.
