Job summary

GulfSea Services, based in Akron, is seeking experienced carpenters for a full-time role in residential construction. You will construct, install, and repair wooden structures while reading blueprints and following safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has proven experience, can work both independently and as part of a team, and possesses excellent attention to detail. The position offers a competitive salary of $1600 per month and growth opportunities for fresher candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter in residential construction projects.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Familiarity with woodworking machines and tools.
• Good understanding of mathematics for measuring and calculating material needs.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and long hours of standing.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout of structures.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials.
• Follow safety procedures when operating machinery.
• Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools.
• Join materials with nails, screws, or adhesives.
• Install structures such as windows and flooring.
• Inspect and replace damaged frameworks.
• Maintain a clean work area by removing debris.
