Job summary

Work corp is seeking a skilled Carpenter on a contract basis to construct, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures. You will interpret blueprints, measure accurately, and use hand and power tools to ensure precise workmanship. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently.

The position is US-based with an immediate start and a weekly salary of $1,300. Accommodation is provided for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role.
• Knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine materials needed.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, levels and squares.
• Cut, shape and smooth materials using hand tools or power tools.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, trimmings, doors and hardware.
• Inspect structures to ensure they meet building codes.
• Repair or replace damaged frameworks or other wooden structures.
• Follow safety procedures when working with tools and equipment.
