Spiegelworld is seeking an On-Call Carpenter for the Atomic Saloon at the Venetian in Las Vegas. The role supports show operations and maintenance of rigging and carpentry equipment on site, reporting to the Production Manager. This is a union, on-call position with pay around $39.43 per hour; schedule varies by team needs.

About the Role

Spiegelworld is looking for an On-Call Carpenter to join the team at Atomic Saloon at the Venetian in Las Vegas. Alongside running the show track, this position assists with the maintenance, inspection, and operation of rigging and carpentry equipment on site according to company policies. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. This is an on-call union position, and the pay is $39.43/hours. The schedule will be based on the team's needs. The pay and benefits are determined by the Union.

What You’ll Do

• Run the show track as designed
• Daily and Weekly inspections of equipment
• Preventative maintenance on Carpentry and Rigging show equipment.
• Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace
• Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
• Participate in all required safety and emergency rescue trainings, as directed
• Establish trust-based relationships with the performers
• Cross-train in both the props track as well as the automation track
• Other duties as assigned by your manager

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures.

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of experience in Professional Theatrical environments
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• An Ideal candidate will provide evidence of continuing education in associated fields
• Comfortable using tools and supplies required for maintenance of scenery
• Familiarity with automation / rigging systems
• Familiarity with inspecting acrobatic circus equipment
• Able to work in a nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights
• Current OSHA 10 and ability to maintain proper safety and sanitation standards
• Use of Microsoft Suite as well as being generally computer savvy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment
• Exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail and organization, and a collaborative attitude
• Ability to exhibit extreme patience
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be team-oriented and self-motivated
• Passion for ensuring you consistently deliver the highest standards
• At least 21 years of age
• Must have valid work authorization for the US
• Successful background check clearance prior to hire
