Job summary

CMHA-CEI in Michigan seeks a skilled carpenter to construct, repair, and maintain wooden and steel structures across multiple facilities. You will perform carpentry tasks, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and respond to emergency repair calls as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years of carpenter experience, and a Michigan Residential Builder's license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Three years of Carpenter experience required.
• Michigan Residential Builder's license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must have valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to reside in the Tri-County area.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, repairs, and maintains wooden and steel structures using hand and power tools.
• Performs rough and fine carpentry tasks, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Responds to emergency repair calls at CMHA-CEI locations, including after hours.
• Fulfills CMHA-CEI mission, policies and procedures in daily work.
