Job summary

The Haskell Company in Sacramento seeks a skilled carpenter to construct, erect, install, and repair structures using wood, plywood and wallboard in compliance with local building codes. You will read construction documents and work with form systems, anchors, and embeds to support projects.

A high school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of carpentry experience is required, along with the ability to lead helpers and prioritize safety on site.

Scope of Position

In this role, you will construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using the carpenter's hand tools and power tools while conforming to local building codes. You will read and interpret construction documents to find information related to the project. Other duties may include installing concrete reinforcement, connection embeds, use of multiple form systems, trim work, door, and hardware installation.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
