Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking skilled craftsmen to contribute to a range of building projects across the region, including Indianapolis, IN. You will install doors and windows, read blueprints, perform layout, and place concrete footings and structural elements, while coordinating crane signaling and rigging as part of a team.

• Reliable transportation is required.

• Ability to work in varying seasonal and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Installation of doors; drill and set door hardware.
• Installation of windows.
• Layout for stairs and common rafters.
• Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills and perform layout.
• Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls and columns.
• Pump, place and finish techniques.
• Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks.
• Crane signals and rigging.
• Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within schedule.
