Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking a skilled construction worker to support projects across the Southeast, including Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities include installing doors and windows, laying out stairs and rafters, reading blueprints, and performing concrete work with crane signals and proper rigging. You will read plans, measure with math precision, and organize tasks to fit project schedules while traveling within a 50-mile radius.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in construction.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation.
• Be willing to work within a 50-mile radius.
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.

• Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls and columns.
• Pump, place and finish techniques.
• Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks.
• Crane signals and rigging.
• Effectively communicate and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within schedule.
