Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Operations team on a project in Franklin Furnace, OH. This full-time position focuses on building and maintaining safety mechanisms while delivering quality craftsmanship.

You will read basic drawings, assist field supervision, and perform tasks such as measuring, sawing, drilling, and construction work. Overtime and weekend hours may be required; we offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read basic drawings.
• OSHA 10, fall protection, and mobile elevated work platform training.
• Able to stand, lift 50–100 lbs., and work on ladders and uneven surfaces.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain safety handrails, hole protection, steps, gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection.
• Sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling and other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Experience with concrete is a plus.

About The Role

We are looking for a Carpenter to join our Operations team on our project in Franklin Furnace, OH. This is a full‑time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection.
• Also does sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Experience working with Concrete is a HUGE plus.

Qualifications

Required:

• Possess 5 years of construction experience.
• Must be able to read basic drawings.
• Have training on construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor).
• This position will provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Preferred

• Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
