Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Operations team on a project in Franklin Furnace, OH. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth within a nationally recognized contractor.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of construction experience, can read basic drawings, and is comfortable with safety training (OSHA 10) and physical work, including lifting 50–100 lbs and climbing ladders on uneven surfaces.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction experience
• Must be able to read basic drawings
• Have training on construction safety protocols (e.g. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform)
• Must demonstrate ownership of tasks and use critical thinking to solve issues
• Must be able to lift and carry 50–100 lbs., 75% of the time

Responsibilities

• Constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection
• Sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling and other duties assigned by supervisor
• Experience with concrete is a huge plus

About The Role

We are looking for a Carpenter to join our Operations team on our project in Franklin Furnace, OH. This is a full‑time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection.
• Also does sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Experience working with Concrete is a HUGE plus.

Qualifications

Required:

• Possess 5 years of construction experience.
• Must be able to read basic drawings.
• Have training on construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor).
• This position will provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Preferred

• Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
