Responsibilities

  • Perform structural repairs and reconstruction on properties damaged by water, fire, or other disasters.
  • Conduct emergency board-ups and install tarps to secure properties after damage.
  • Install, repair, and replace drywall, framing, trim, doors, cabinets, and other interior/exterior components.
  • Assist with demolition, debris removal, and preparation of areas for rebuilding.
  • Work with project managers and estimators to ensure jobs are on schedule.
  • Ensure work meets industry standards and local codes.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and report additional structural issues found during restoration.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Communicate with customers professionally on-site.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and property damage.
  • Follow an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience in water and fire damage restoration to join our team. This role involves performing structural repairs, rebuilding damaged areas, and securing properties through board-ups and tarping after disasters. The ideal candidate has a strong carpentry background, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restoration environment.

  • Perform structural repairs and reconstruction on residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, or other disasters.
  • Conduct emergency board-ups and install tarps to secure properties after fire, storm, or impact damage.
  • Install, repair, and replace drywall, framing, trim, doors, cabinets, and other interior/exterior components.
  • Assist with demolition, debris removal, and preparation of affected areas for rebuilding.
  • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other team members to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards and adheres to local building codes.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and report any additional structural issues found during the restoration process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Communicate with customers professionally and respectfully while on-site.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and property damage.
  • Follow an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in carpentry, framing, trim work, and general construction required (restoration experience preferred).
  • Experience with emergency board-ups and tarping is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, scope of work documents, and follow detailed instructions.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard restoration equipment and techniques is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA certification or other safety training is a plus.
