Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in Orlando is seeking a Carpenter Helper to support skilled carpenters on commercial construction projects. The role involves assisting with forming, rough carpentry, and interior tasks under supervision, ensuring materials are ready and tools are properly used.

Candidates should have about 1 year of carpentry or commercial construction experience and be committed to safety on site. This is a hands-on, on-site position within a team-based construction environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year commercial construction carpentry experience preferred.
• Experience working with basic carpentry tools and materials.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help carpenters by performing duties of lesser skill.
• Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal forms and scaffolds, according to sketches or instructions.
• May assist Carpenters in interior carpentry tasks such as install doors, wall forms, trim work and hardware.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.

• Help carpenters by performing duties of lesser skill.
• Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, column forms, scaffolds, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints or oral instructions.
• May assist Carpenters in interior carpentry tasks such as install doors, wall forms, trim work and hardware.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
