Carpenter/General Maintenance Technician

Overview

The General Maintenance Technician will provide skilled labor for general maintenance repairs and building construction projects in assigned retail stores.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Columbia, SC area. The coverage area includes Greensville, SC to Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough carpentry and framing, including fabrication and installation of forms, doors, windows, hardware, and partitions.
• Perform trim and finish carpentry, including molding, base details, panel and marlite finishes, countertops, shelves, and painting.
• Perform welding/brazing using MIG wire welder, oxy/acetylene torch, and arc welder.
• Conduct general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, floor tile and acoustical repair, masonry, and HVAC.
• Assist service personnel and electricians as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, saws, drills, and welders.
• Possess 5-7 years of general construction/carpentry experience.
• Exhibit good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain balance on a ladder.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.
