Job summary

Skillforce is seeking a Carpenter / Construction Laborer for a large data center project in the Johnstown, OH area. The role combines general labor with carpentry tasks, including building safety railings and assisting multiple trades. Expect a fast-paced, safety‑driven site with full-time hours and weekly pay.

Requirements include 2+ years of carpentry, a valid US driver’s license, PPE, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of verifiable carpentry experience.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must supply PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hi-vis vest, gloves).

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks on an active commercial construction site (material handling, site cleanup, multi-trade support).
• Load, unload, and stage materials and tools for field crews to keep work flowing smoothly.
• Build and install safety railings and light carpentry as directed by supervision.
• Assist skilled trades as needed and adapt to daily priorities across trades.
• Maintain OSHA-compliant safety practices, PPE use, housekeeping, and on-site safety plans.
• Follow supervisor directions to keep work areas safe and on schedule.
