About the Role
Christman Mid‑Atlantic Constructors, LLC (CSEC) is seeking a Carpenter Foreman in the Greensboro, North Carolina region. The role involves direct supervision of construction crews, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of projects throughout the mid‑Atlantic.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Engineer to meet project goals.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule crew activities, including JHA/PTWP review.
- Assign work to crew members based on material or worker requirements for specific jobs.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Identify safety hazards to self or others and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Read specifications and blueprints to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
- Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
- Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
- Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
- Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
- Work with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems and coordinate activities.
- Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.
- Address employee questions and provide input to superiors regarding employee performance.
- Assist workers engaged in construction activities using hand tools or other equipment.
Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Five (5) or more years of relevant construction experience.
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience, including prior foreman roles.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Excellent safety record and commitment to safety compliance.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Proven experience as a construction foreman.
- Experience in concrete construction, including formwork erection, rebar installation, and concrete place‑and‑finish activities.
- Experience in setting case and millwork.
- Experience working with architectural doors and commercial hardware.
- Ability to maintain open communication and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, and strong interpersonal communication.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to travel up to a 300‑mile radius, depending on project location.
- Ability to perform rough and finish carpentry and general trades work.
- Must possess all necessary hand tools and equipment for the job.

- Full‑time position; occasional extended hours or weekends may apply.
