Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Carpenter Foreman for the Woodside Louisiana LNG project in Sulphur, LA. The role leads journeymen on-site, enforces safety, reads blueprints, and coordinates cross-craft work to meet drawings and specs.

Typically, candidates have about 6 years of industrial construction experience with 2 years in supervisory roles, and demonstrate the ability to manage priorities, schedules, and cost within Bechtel standards.

Qualifications

• Typically has 6 years industrial construction experience with 2 years in Supervisory roles.
• Identify practices and conditions that are safe as well as those that are at risk and provide appropriate, on-the-spot corrective action if needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, understand job specifications, implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules, and inspect finished work for quality and completeness
• Understand the work scope and integrate priorities of the project.
• Understand work priorities and schedules.
• Complete planned work on schedule.
• Identify potential problems in a timely manner.
• Take quick remedial action when work performed is not according to drawings and specifications, code requirements, or to quality of accepted construction standards.
• Be familiar with project cost control procedures and be committed to stay within established cost goals and unit rate standards
