Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to lead interior commercial systems and exterior metal stud framing projects. You will coordinate with the superintendent and project manager, review drawings, and direct field crews to maximize productivity while upholding PCG safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years as a Carpenter Foreman, knowledge of carpentry techniques, and the ability to travel as needed. OSHA 30 and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience in carpentry and construction techniques.
  • Experience with interior commercial systems.
  • Experience with exterior metal stud framing and sheathing.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stay physically active.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee crew safety, performance, productivity, and quality on projects.
  • Coordinate with superintendent and project manager for start, execution, and closeout.
  • Use look-aheads and forecasts to optimize material and crew planning.
  • Review drawings to determine work requirements and assign field activities.
  • Maintain daily reports, timekeeping and documentation.

Job Description

Job duties may include:

  • Overall responsibility for crew safety, performance, productivity and work quality for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with superintendent and project manager to coordinate project startup, execution and close out
  • Use look‐ahead schedules, manpower forecasts and project specifications to provide optimum scheduling of material, manpower and crew mix
  • Review drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Systematically direct and assign crew field activities to achieve maximize productivity while maintaining PCG standards of quality, performance and workplace safety- Add everything in green to drywall finisher foreman posting
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with all trades, vendors, co‐workers and customers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Convey a professional and positive attitude as the onsite representative of branch and corporation
  • Use available technology to perform job tasks efficiently
  • Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Identify and resolve job site issues proactively to avoid delays or rework
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and documentation
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members, including apprentices and journeymen
  • On-the-job training offered

This position is safety-sensitive.

Pay Range

$39.22 - $41.22/hr

Requirements
  • Previous experience in interior commercial systems and exterior metal stud framing and sheathing installations is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Carpenter Foreman
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Possess knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
  • Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Requirements
  • OSHA 30
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to travel and manage out-of-town projects is desirable.
  • Experience with exterior claddings project oversight is desirable.
  • Experience with interior acoustical and specialty ceiling systems is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Procore software is desirable.
