Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a part-time Carpenter A to perform maintenance duties across carpentry trades, including constructing casework, shelving, modifying existing installations, relocating offices, and installing/removing items.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years' carpentry experience, a valid PA driver’s license, and the ability to pass a skills test. Preferred: vocational training; prior experience with tractors or lifts is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years of job related experience in the carpentry and construction trades required.
• Valid PA Driver's License required.
• Must pass a written skills test with a minimum grade of 75% and demonstrate skills by fabricating a piece of casework or furniture using a variety of techniques and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties related to the carpentry trade, including constructing casework and shelving.
• Modify existing installations and relocate offices.
• Install and remove numerous and varied items as required.
