Temple Health is seeking a Maintenance Carpenter to support hospital facilities at 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia. The role focuses on carpentry and locksmith duties, with day shift scheduling and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and at least 3 years in hospital maintenance, familiarity with door systems and local codes, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 years experience in hospital maintenance or equivalent.
• General experience with door systems, hardware and keying systems preferred.
• Familiarity with fire codes, LS and TJC standards preferred.

Assists the Carpenter in constructing and executing a variety of carpentry - related projects using power and hand tools. Performs locksmith duties including the installation, maintenance, and repair of locks and door hardware. Complete work in accordance with specifications and applicable safety and regulatory standards. Provides time estimates for assigned work and maintains accurate records as required.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience

• 3 years experience in hospital maintenance or an equivalent building maintenance role. Required
• General Experience with door systems, hardware and keying systems. Preferred
• General Experience of applicable fire cords, DOH Life Safety (LS), and Joint Commission (TJC) standards, or the ability to cquire this knowledge Required
