Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirements.
• Five years of construction experience preferred.
• Must have own hand tools and be proficient with a variety of tools.
• Ability to read measurements and perform calculations.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow site rules.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prepare the layout of the project.
• Estimate height, width, length and other proportions.
• Select materials and use tools to erect/repair structures.
• Work from blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets codes and specs.
• Perform tasks with various materials (wood, plastic, drywall, etc.).
• Use tools to erect scaffolding and install components like doors, windows, and trim.
• Keep workspace clean and organize tools and materials.
• Plan and execute tasks as directed.
• Meet time schedules and deadlines.
