Killeen ISD is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice to assist journeyman carpenters with constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood and related materials. This on-site role supports daily shop and field activities and emphasizes safety and accuracy in measurements.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED; experience in carpentry is preferred, with the ability to read simple instructions and perform basic math for material calculations.

Employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Requires close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
