Job summary

Juniper Design + Build is hiring frame-to-finish carpenters with 3-6 years of experience for projects in Portland, ME and surrounding communities. The team focuses on energy-efficient, sustainably-built custom homes and renovations, with a supportive culture and a commitment to high-quality work.

Position is full-time, on-site at Peaks Island and greater Portland area. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, PTO, tool allowance, disability/life insurance, and professional development

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of hands-on carpentry experience in residential construction.
• Proficient in framing, siding, window/door installation, air sealing, and finish work.

What were looking for

We're looking for a skilled carpenter with 3-6 years of hands-on experience across a range of residential construction projects. You should be confident in core carpentry tasks like framing, siding, window and door installation, air sealing, and finish work.

We're especially interested in candidates who are curious about high-performance building practices and eager to grow their knowledge of sustainable construction. Certifications like OSHA10, Lead Safe, and Net Zero are a plusbut not required to apply.

What we offer

• Salary: Starting at $30 an hour and determined by experience

Work location & requirements

This is a full-time W-2 position. Our office is on Peaks Island, ME (a 15-minute ferry ride from downtown Portland), and we work on jobs throughout the greater Portland area. You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to site locations.
