Position Overview
As a Carpenter 1, you will work with a carpentry team maintaining 40 buildings across a 152-acre facility. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing skilled tasks in construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of buildings.
- Preparing work areas, repairing and installing doors and windows, and painting interior and exterior surfaces.
- Selecting proper tools and materials for each task, completing work neatly and professionally.
- Reading blueprints and drawings, creating preliminary work sketches, and adhering to safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

Work Schedule & Additional Information
- Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Weekend work on a rotation, on-call holidays, and emergency call-ins.
- Overtime and travel may be required.

- Telework is not available for this position.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training
- Completion of the Building Trades Trainee program or equivalent, or
- Three years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance of structures made from wood or similar materials, or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Pass a background check.
- Undergo a medical examination upon conditional offer.
- Submit satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearances, under the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
