Job summary

Clancy & Theys Construction Company is seeking a skilled Carpenter to translate blueprints into built spaces, performing formwork, framing, and finish work on commercial projects.

You will interpret construction documents, operate tools safely, and maintain a clean, safe job site while meeting tight schedules. The role emphasizes teamwork, craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to safety and quality on every project.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a carpenter in commercial construction settings.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings.
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or trade program (preferred).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
• Experience on active job sites with tight schedules and safety-first operations (preferred).
• Familiarity with steel stud framing and concrete formwork (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and specifications to plan and execute commercial carpentry work.
• Construct, install, and repair structural components and finish materials (wood, wallboard, formwork, etc.).
• Operate hand and power tools safely and accurately.
• Climb ladders and work from lifts or scaffolding at various heights.
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs using proper technique.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols, always wearing appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
