Who You Are

KBR is seeking a Carpenter who is skilled, dedicated, and passionate about craftsmanship. You should be experienced in building and maintaining high-quality structures that meet rigorous standards, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency. You thrive in fast-paced environments, work well in teams, and possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to support operational readiness and mission success.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance of building woodwork and equipment.
  • Design, build, install, and repair structures and fixtures from wood and other materials, including furniture, stairways, door frames, partitions, and rafters.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to accurately estimate and execute tasks.
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass, drywall) according to measurements.
  • Inspect building frameworks to identify repairs or replacements and ensure structural integrity.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance teams for renovations and major repairs.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during all activities.
  • Maintain records of materials and task completion for accountability.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active US Secret security clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ Poly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid TVC/Journeyman Card, Journeyman Carpenter Certificate, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program.
  • At least 10 years of experience, with two in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Practical knowledge of repairs and installation of flooring, ceilings, walls, masonry, locksmithing, cabinet making, framing, form work, and painting.
  • Experience operating small power tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform material take-offs.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PM programs.
