Job summary

Harlequin Design New York Inc is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our Farmingdale factory team. You will interpret technical drawings and construct high-quality retail displays and pop-up spaces using MDF, plywood, laminate, and veneers.

In a fast-paced environment, you will ensure precision and adherence to deadlines while collaborating with teammates. We value strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years carpentry experience.
• Experience in fast-paced interdisciplinary fabrication is a plus.
• Experience in retail display is advantageous.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate independently or in a team to interpret technical drawings and craft high-quality displays and pop-up spaces using materials such as MDF, plywood, laminate, and veneers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate creative problem-solving to meet project complexities and deadlines.
• Ensure all work aligns with the company’s quality standards and deadlines.
• Identify and communicate any quality issues or lead time challenges to management for swift resolution.
• Additional hours may be available during busy periods.
• Occasional overnight installation work is a plus.
• Tackle challenges with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

• Location: Farmingdale NY - Factory
• Basic Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday
• 15 days holiday per year
• Air-conditioned/heated factory
• On-site parking
• Salary: $20 - $35 per hour based on experience
