Job summary

Brycon Corporation in Chandler, AZ is seeking a skilled carpenter to read blueprints and build, install, and repair structures from wood, plywood, and wallboard. You will use hand and power tools, prepare surfaces, and ensure safety during material handling and fabrication.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2–3 years of carpentry experience, pass background checks, and meet drug/alcohol requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of carpentry experience required.
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications.
• Perform tasks using hand tools and power tools for wood/metal framing.
• Prepare material takeoffs.
• Construct, install, and repair structures from wood, plywood and wallboard.
• Operate a variety of hand tools and company equipment.
• Receive, offload and handle materials safely.
• Prepare surfaces for paint and related applications.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Perform a variety of tasks involving use of hands tools, such as, but not limited to, minor demolishing activities, wood, and metal stud framing
• Prepare material takeoffs
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
• Perform skilled carpentry work
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools and company equipment
• Receive materials and offload in a safe and proficient
• Prepare surfaces for paint and other applications
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), and weekends. Employees will be compensated based on guidelines in the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Experience, Skillset, & Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent desired, and 2 to 3 yearsexperience in skilled carpentry
• Must successfully complete background check and drug/alcohol
