Your Responsibilities as a Handyman Professional

• Completing Maintenance & Repairs: Handling small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, with project durations from two hours to two days.
• Customer Communication: Explaining work scope, managing expectations on costs, and providing recommendations.
• Creating Loyal Customers: Delivering excellent service to ensure repeat business, following the Mr. Handyman Way process.
• Self-management, often working independently.
• Providing excellent customer service, asking for reviews, and collecting payments.
• Using necessary tools and technology effectively.
• Documenting work as per our process, the Mr. Handyman Way Experience.
• Wearing proper PPE and booties to protect customer homes.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications for the Carpenter position include:

• Residence within the area
• 8+ years’ paid handyman experience
• Own tools
• Insurable to drive company vehicle
• Background and driving record checks
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
• Ability to work safely at heights and overhead for extended periods
• Professional appearance and vehicle maintenance

Proficiency in at least three of the following areas is preferred:

• Carpentry
• Bathroom renovations
• Kitchen renovations
• Painting (interior and exterior)
• Drywall repairs and installation
• Basic plumbing and electrical (where legal)
• Flooring installation and refurbishment
• Knowledge of building codes
