Carpenters are responsible for completing a variety of rough and finish carpentry jobs on construction project sites.**What You Will Do:***As a Carpenter, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:** Works with varied materials including but not limited to wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall.* Utilizes tools including but not limited to chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to erect and repair structures.* Utilizes tools including but not limited to levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.* Joins materials with nails, screws, staples or adhesives.* Safely operates a variety of saws and other carpentry tools.* Checks work along the way to ensure it meets all code and specification requirements.* Works on top of stilts, ladders and the top beams of buildings.* Performs the building of handrails, steps, drilling, and patching, light concrete work.* Builds stairs, temp doors, ramps, temp walls, etc.* Erects various types of scaffolding including pipe and safety barriers, and make provisions on scaffolding for moving and handling materials needed for the job.* Keeps immediate working area clean. Must use broom and wheelbarrows and follow material procedures.* Able to look at flat drawings and understand how they would look as solid objects.**Travel:** Must have reliable transportation.
