Job summary

Ritsema Associates is seeking a dependable Carpenter to join our construction team for renovation and building projects. Daily travel between job sites is required, with hands-on carpentry tasks performed to high safety and quality standards.

Candidate will use and maintain hand tools, read drawings, and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential; there is a commitment to training and growth.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-focused.
• Must provide and maintain personal hand tools (power and specialty tools provided).
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry and construction tasks, including: drywall hanging and finishing; acoustical ceiling grid installation; exterior insulation; framing and general construction work.
• Use and maintain basic carpentry tools.
• Read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
• Arrive on time and ready to work each day.
• Communicate effectively with the project field leader and team members.
• Represent the company professionally on all jobsites.
• Work independently or collaboratively depending on project needs.
• Ask questions and seek guidance to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Follow all jobsite safety protocols and company safety standards.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support project success.

Compensation

$18 – $25 per hour.

Purpose

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly.

Travel Requirements

• Reliable transportation required totravel between job sites
